Sometimes I get carried away.

I have this horrible habit of plotting out texts I will never be able to teach. For example, just twenty minutes ago, I put together a booklist of texts all told from the POV of the villain: I almost figured out a way to incorporate this into my Freshmen Composition class, because I do often emphasize how composing narratives through different media can change the narratives. Additionally, this would only require students invest in the Grossman novel and a movie ticket. (I have Villains United to lend, and Dr Horrible is a class period of watching.) I'm thinking better of it though, mostly because it ends up being waaay too white-male-middle-class-centric for my comfort. Certainly, there is the paradigm shift of, hey! These dudes are EVIL! But that is contravened by the inevitable sympathy readers have towards the protagonist of the story.
