As per usual, here are some Storify archives:
- Opening and #A4
The opening session was fun--Chris Nelson did a quick talk about this year's theme, then we teamed up to map out our ideal writing centers. I fell in love with the Crayola Super Tip markers they let us use for our brainstorming.
I presented in #A4 (I did some independent hashtagging today, for the sake of my own organization), along with Shaohua Pei and Kathy Rose, two of the Writing and Media Center's awesome graduate consultants.
- #B4: What Do You Do Here? Clarifying Expectations for Students and Faculty
Presented by Jamie Sass, Marshalltown Community College
- #C2: Creating our CReW: Collaborating with Librarians
Presented by Susan Pagnac, Central College
- #D3: We have a writing center? Social Media Marketing Strategies
Presented by Kelly Jondle and Sarah Curran, Iowa State University, @ISUWMC
And that was all for #IowaWCC! A fun, low-key conference with folks who are invested in the discussion. I'm looking forward to the next meeting already--which, I think, will be the Midwest Writing Centers Association meeting in March 2016.
